Winter weddings can be challenging due to weather. For Hannah and Fernando, it was windy and in the teens for the temperature! But that didn’t stop us from documenting amazing moments and joy.
The Union in Rockford, Illinois has amazing spaces to get ready in. The bride’s suit was decorated beautifully, had tons of room to spread out, and plenty of natural light. This provided the best environment for Hannah to soak in the anticipation with her friends as hair and makeup got done.
As for the groom’s suit, they had a moody atmosphere with football on of course! But the smaller windows provided me a great opportunity to capture some fun solo photos of Fernando as he buttoned his coat, tied his tie, and smiled in excitement to see Hannah in a few short moments.
The ceremony was filled with the Lord’s presence and tender moments between family and one another. I especially loved the worship, prayer, and foot washing in preparation for the Lord to be the center of their marriage.
After they left the ceremony as the new Mr. and Mrs. Amador, we snagged them for some sunset photos on the roof! This was such a special time despite the cold. It was a time for them to get fresh air, take some time just the two of them, and stand in awe of the beauty God created around us. Between giggle kisses, tender glances, and shared joy, we captured moments that will last a lifetime.
Hannah and Fernando planned this day to be so intentional towards servanthood, love, and community. They served ice cream to all their guests, handwrote thank you notes to each person, and left a verse at each table for people to take home. I will never forget this day! Beyond blessed to have connected with such special people.
