Hey, I'm Katie!

I grew up never really having one specific dream for what I wanted to do someday. I’m such a planner and always want to know exactly what path I am supposed to take so as you can imagine, not knowing stressed me out.
During my second year of college, everything changed when I found photography — all thanks to my sweet mama. She was the one who first brought it up and believed I could do it. Her support, along with the passion God placed on my heart, made it all align. I’ve always loved serving others, hyping people up, noticing the little details, and celebrating love in all its beauty. Photography became the perfect way for me to do all of that!
In 2020, I interned for a wedding photographer, where I learned, grew, and discovered even more of my passion while second shooting alongside her. Then in 2021, I photographed five weddings of my own and officially created Authentic Radiance later that August!
Photography truly found me in a season when I needed it most. It gave me a way to build others up and has allowed me to meet the sweetest people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives! That’s why I’m always striving to grow Authentic Radiance into the best experience possible for you.
I’m a child of God, wife to Jeremiah, and new mama to my sweet Judah boy. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me going on walks, spending quality time with my people, and grabbing the occasional iced coffee. And on a wedding day, you can almost always find me enjoying a salad at dinner and a crisp Coke :)
Pets are a huge part of my life! I have Gus (the orange cat) and Willow (the grey cat) who's world was rocked when we got Ember, our vizsla puppy, summer of 2024. They aren't friends but they are starting to tolerate each other more!
I obsess over beautiful photos- like legit my happy shoulder dance and giddy squeal come out!

I am all about preserving memories from journals to photo books to video compilations. Little moments are my absolute favorite and I love documenting my family’s story in so many ways.
