Katie and James’s fall wedding was a stunning celebration of love, adventure, and the incredible personal touches that made their day unforgettable. We started the day at Katie’s family home, where she was filled with excitement and anticipation. From there, we headed to Notre Dame’s picturesque campus for Katie and James’s first look. The backdrop of the iconic buildings and fall foliage created a perfect, serene moment for the couple to see each other before the ceremony. Their first look was filled with emotion, and it was an honor to capture the moment they laid eyes on each other, knowing their day had finally arrived.

The ceremony took place at a beautiful local Catholic church, where Katie and James said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends. It was a deeply meaningful ceremony, and you could see the love and commitment in their eyes as they exchanged vows. Afterward, we traveled up to Niles, Michigan for their reception at The Morris Estate, a venue that perfectly complemented their elegant yet laid-back vibe.

What made Katie and James’s reception even more special were the countless personal touches that reflected their love for adventure. Each table at the reception was named after a national park they had visited together, with the flowers on each table carefully selected to match the beauty and colors of that park. It was a beautiful way to celebrate their travels and the many memories they’ve created along the way. Their table assignments were another nod to their adventurous spirit, designed to look like a trailhead map, guiding guests to their seats in a creative and unique way.

Everything about the day was intentional, from the heartfelt moments during the ceremony to the thoughtful details at the reception. Katie and James’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are as individuals and as a couple—adventurous, fun-loving, and deeply connected to each other and the world around them.
