Zach and Courtney’s wedding anniversary photo session at Rosy Mound Beach was nothing short of magical. With two years of marriage under their belt, they wanted to celebrate their love in a way that was as adventurous and fun as their relationship. And Rosy Mound—with its towering dunes, scenic views, and peaceful shoreline—was the perfect backdrop for this special milestone.
It was definitely a trek to get to the beach! We walked beautiful paths through the woods as Courtney hiked up her dress and Zach carried the bouquet made by Fields of Glory. After about 10 minutes of walking, we made it to the shoreline and all the ideas and visions came rushing to my mind. We took our shoes off and headed for the shoreline to start!
We explored the nooks and crannies of the dunes, playing with fun prompts and creative poses that brought out the best of their playful and loving dynamic. Zach and Courtney are the kind of couple that naturally radiates joy, so all I had to do was guide them through a few lighthearted prompts like “Kiss with your teeth!” or “Think about your favorite moment from the past 2 years together.” The result? Laughter, fun moments, and genuine affection that made every shot feel completely authentic.
We wound our way to the shoreline as the sun began to dip, casting a warm glow over the water. It was the perfect moment to capture some quiet, intimate shots. Zach and Courtney chased seagulls along the shore, soaking in the beauty of the moment and reminiscing about their past two years of marriage. It wasn’t about posing—it was about them enjoying the simple joy of being together.
As the sun set, the sky turned into a gorgeous palette of pinks and oranges, making for the most dreamy backdrop. Their connection was undeniable, and I could see how much they’ve grown together in their time as a married couple. From the playful moments in the dunes to the peaceful quiet of the shoreline, their anniversary session was the perfect celebration of their love, their journey, and the years to come.
