I had the pleasure of shooting Kenny and Jenns’s beautiful wedding at The Olde Stone Porch in Ionia, Michigan. As soon as I arrived at the venue, I knew it was going to be a magical day. The Olde Stone Porch had beautiful forrest as a backdrop to their open layout to their venue space. The grounds included a section of wildflowers, a rustic barn, grassy ceremony areas, and a beautiful old stone house with the most elegant wrap-around porch as the getting site for the girls.
As I started capturing candid moments of the bride getting ready along with the flat lay details, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by the natural and authentic love between Kenny and Jenna. Their love was rooted in Christ and authentically timeless which showed in every photograph I took. I wanted to capture their special day in a way that would transport them back to this moment for years to come.
One of the most memorable moments from the day was when Kenny surprised Jenna’s daughter (who quickly became his own) with a special ring. She rushed up to Kenny, gave him the biggest hug, and was beaming with joy as she saw the ring and as Kenny put it on her finger. She then ran straight to her grandparents and great grandparents showing it off! It warmed by heart seeing the thoughtfulness of the Groom and how he embraced his new family with open arms. It was a moment that truly captured the essence of their love and the joy of their special day.
Overall, shooting Kenny and Jenna’s wedding was an unforgettable experience. Their love was palpable in every photograph, and I am grateful to have been a part of their magical day. The Olde Stone Porch provided the perfect backdrop for a natural, authentic, timeless, and elegant wedding, and I am so excited to share these beautiful moments with the happy couple.
